Retraction: Avatar Does Not Suck

I saw Avatar on Friday in IMAX 3D and it definitely doesn’t suck. There are plenty of cheesy lines and cliche characters and the last third of the movie is your basic action movie explosiogasm. But that’s all more than made up for by an amazing and immersive and reality-bending visual experience. Also, the computer-generated blue chick is somehow hot. Go see it.
