Earlier this Spring, I got a bunch of folks together to shoot a short film I wrote called “I Am From Cable Company”. Unfortunately, we never got to finish the movie before moving to New York. I didn’t want to let some great footage and performances go to waste so I cut together this trailer.

We made it! Melissa and I moved into our new apartment in Brooklyn last week. As you can see, we have a lot of work to do to get it into shape. But don’t worry, Melissa’s all over it:

I’m hoping to post some more pics and video of our new neighborhood of Park Slope. It’s a very cool little place with lots to see and do. We’ve been eating out a lot because a) we don’t have a table b) we only have one chair c) there are a lot of great restaurants nearby…BUT, last week we made our first meal in our new home and ate it in the bedroom so Melissa could sit on the bed and I sat on my office chair.

Our first meal in New York: tuna, rice, roasted asparagus with Montreal steak seasoning (my secret ingredient for everything). I put way too much salt on the tuna but what am I Bobby Flay?

We’re starting to get settled in here. We have a lot going on back in Massachusetts in August so a lot of our exploring is going to have to wait until September. We are doing some sofa shopping though. Here are the finalists:

This guy opened for Conan and he may have been my favorite part of the night. The dude’s a genius. Most of his stuff is completely improvised on the spot. Search YouTube for him, he has tons and tons of stuff up there. This is one of my favorites. Check out these improvised lyrics:
